Indication: The design of the posterior plates comes from spine anatomy. The average distance between two adjacent pedicles is 26 mm. The plates are created with holes every 13 mm. It is therefore possible to fix two adjacent vertebrae with a perpendicular screw every two holes. The plates are curved similar to the normal spine at thoracolumbar juction, which is the most common site of fracture. The holes are reinforced by an embossment giving to the plates and homogeneous resistance. They are produced from stainless steel. These plates can be bend if necessary. Different lenghts, ranging from 49 mm to 218 mm with 4 to 17 holes have been designed. |
Screws to be used: Fixation with diam. 4.5 mm cortical and 3.5 mm small cortical screws.
